Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard (ATP 50) celebrates the greatest success of his career to date, securing the prestigious title at Swiss Indoors Basel. In a gripping final, the 20-year-old Frenchman defeated American Ben Shelton (ATP 23) 6-4, 7-6 to win the ATP 500 tournament – his first title at this level and his second overall title on the ATP Tour, following his victory at the ATP 250 tournament in Lyon in May 2024.

On his way to the title, Perricard put on exceptional performances and prevailed against big-name opponents, including two-time defending champion Felix Auger-Aliassime (ATP 19) and the fourth-seeded Holger Rune (ATP 14). His powerful serve and mental strength proved an unbeatable combination throughout the tournament.
