Best-of show on Super Monday 

As the world-class players are putting their names down on the entry list, the tournament will kick off on Super Monday, 23 October with its traditional musical fireworks. This mix of sport and culture is unique on the ATP Tour and has been ever since its introduction in 2008. This year’s show features a retrospective of the gala performances of renowned stars of recent times. Performing a medley, the Chor des Theater Basel will present an exhilarating concert show under the musical direction of the Christoph Walter Orchestra. The best-of programme will feature world-famous hits from Montserrat Caballé, Paul Anka, ABBA, Amy Macdonald and Alvaro Soler. 

Carlos Alcaraz’ opening match on Super Monday

In ‘the greatest Wimbledon final of all time’ (BBC commentary), Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz dethroned the great dominator Novak Djokovic. At just 20 years of age, the man from Murcia is the youngest world number one of all time. With this impressive calling card, the newest star in the tennis firmament will lead the field at this year’s Swiss Indoors. Carlos Alcaraz’ opening match will be in prime time on Super Monday.

Rising Next Gen star Dominic Stricker joins Stan Wawrinka

Alongside three-time Grand Slam winner Stan Wawrinka, Dominic Stricker will be the second Swiss player in the field at the high point of the Swiss tennis calendar. The talented 21-year-old has been thrilling Swiss tennis fans at the US Open, most recently with a hard-fought, sensational five-set win over Stefanos Tsitsipas. This autumn, rising star Dominic Stricker will take to the big stage at home at the St. Jakobshalle. The big-serving lefty from Bern will start his campaign on Swiss Tuesday, 24 October.
