The Logistics department is responsible for ensuring that deliveries can be made in an orderly and timely manner. First and foremost, truck transports around the St. Jakobshalle must be coordinated and, if necessary, forwarded to the right contact persons on the part of the tournament organization. During the tournament week, the logistics team will provide parking services and control functions on the access routes to St. Jakobshalle.
You are at least 20 years old, enjoy working in a team and outdoors. You are flexible, solution-oriented, able to work under pressure and have a quick grasp of things. Your friendly, helpful and determined nature makes you stand out in this job, especially in hectic moments. Working in logistics gives you an insight into the structure of a major event and requires a sense of organization and systematics.
The assignment begins 1 week before the start of the tournament and ends on the Tuesday after the final; it therefore lasts between 7 and 16 days. We work in shifts of 8 to 10 hours with replacements for meal breaks. The workload during the tournament week is reduced for some employees, as there are fewer deliveries during the tournament and more parking duties. Work is done exclusively outdoors in the area around the St. Jakobshalle; appropriate clothing is provided.
You represent Swiss Indoors Basel in an outfit provided and are an active part of a large team for the benefit of Switzerland's biggest sporting event. Many exciting encounters and glimpses behind the scenes are guaranteed. You will receive a tournament badge that will allow you to attend the matches during your free time or breaks. Food and drinks will also be available to you free of charge. You will receive a helper's wage for your work.
